Art Rogers: Faces of the Land

As a young photojournalist, Art Rogers moved to Point Reyes Station in 1971 and has been capturing the spirit of the land and people of West Marin ever since. The subjects of his portraits, from babies to elders, give themselves to the camera withan obvious trust earned by Rogers over the forty years of his deep involvement with their families and communities. Drawn from the local agricultural community, these portraits are both powerful and tender and give a glimpse of the larger stories of people whose lives are enmeshed in this landscape.
