We believe truth can be found in documentary film.
Presented by the California Film Institute, the inaugural DocLands Documentary Film Festival brings compelling stories and the provocative insights behind them to Marin County, California May 10 – 14, 2017.
Exploring the themes of WonderLands, The Art of Impact and The Great Outdoors, DocLands will showcase a variety of diverse documentary film: lifting spirits through stories of joy, wonder and possibility; inspiring action by sharing stories that open our eyes to the global community and its disparate cultures, politics, personal narratives and biographies; transporting audiences outside to truly appreciate, explore and ultimately compel us to save and conserve our environment and the wilds of our one precious and precarious planet; as well as highlighting films that transcend the traditional definition of the documentary.
