“De-Lovely”, a 2004 film release, highlights Cole Porter’s life, his loves and the myriad of standards he wrote sung by next generation vocalists. Noah Griffin will emcee the event as well as perform a few Cole Porter songs live for our enjoyment.
Noah Griffin and The Rotary Club of Central Marin are thrilled to show “DeLovely” featuring Cole Porter and his music. Cole Porter was the foremost song writer of the 20th century penning both music and lyrics to more than 800 songs including such standards as Night and Day, I’ve Got You Under My Skin and I Get a Kick Out of You. His musicals include Anything Goes and Kiss Me Kate. Of the two biopics done on his life, the 2004 release DeLovely paints a well- rounded and nuanced portrayal of the music genius. Come learn about his life, his loves and the myriad of standards he wrote sung on screen by next generation vocalists.
