The Little Folkies Family Band is back in concert at Sweetwater Music Hall!
The band is led by Little Folkies creator Irena Eide, this concert will feature Stand-up Bass player Danny Vitali who performs with the Grammy Award winning Okee Dokee Brothers and mandolin/fiddle extraordinaire Andrew Fahlander of the T sisters. They will perform Little Folkies original songs and a sweet collection of old traditional folk songs for children.
The Little Folkies recordings feature bluegrass legends such as Peter Rowan (Bill Monroe, Old And In The Way), Blaine Sprouse (Bill Monroe, The Osbourne Brothers, Jimmie Martin), Sharon Gilchrist (Peter Rowan Tony Rice Quartet, Uncle Earl), Paul Knight (Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band) and many more.
Inspired by a wide array of music and styles including the children’s music of Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Ella Jenkins, Jean Ritchie, Ruth Crawford Seeger’s “American Folk Songs For Children”, David Grisman and Jerry Garcia’s “Not For Kids Only”, Doc Watson’s “Songs for little pickers” and more.

There is ample street and city parking available around the venue. Please be sure to observe all posted signs regarding parking and parking meters, and do not park in prohibited spaces or areas. As a courtesy to our neighbors, please park in metered spots and city lots rather than residential areas. We offer validation for the Sunnyside lot–ask for it at the Cafe register.
