The new Sonoma Valley Authors’ Festival debuts in 2018 at The Lodge at Sonoma Renaissance Resort & Spa
Stimulating the minds and nurturing the souls of readers
The Sonoma Valley Authors Festival will engage, enlighten and entertain its guests during this extraordinary inaugural weekend of May 4-6.
Speakers include: David Brooks, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Captain Scott Kelly, Douglas Brinkley, Niall Ferguson, Amor Towles, Jeffrey Brown, Billy Collins, Lisa See, Deepa Thomas, Dr. Sandy Williams, Lisa Fenn, Julie Lythcott-Haims, Alex Filippenko, Tim Brown and more!
During the course of 3 days, authors from around the world will discuss their books, their lives, and their ideas with an audience of 600+ Festival attendees. The authors will reflect a variety of topics and include fiction and non-fiction, biographies, history, politics, adventure, medicine, and science.
Also participating in the Festival will be thought leaders who are transforming lives through medicine, technology, communication and philanthropy. The Festival will feature 6 keynote speakers and a choice of 24 breakout sessions.
Friday will be Student Day at Sonoma Valley High School, a workshop where 2,700 middle and high school students from 5 schools will meet with and be inspired by 11 of the Festival’s authors who are some of the most engaging and inspiring writers, poets, doctors, and scientists of our day.
At the conclusion of the first half-day on Friday, there will be a casual “Sonoma Style” Opening Reception for all Pass Holders.
Saturday evening, there will be a special dinner with the authors for all Founding Sponsors and Donors.
