What is Marin Arts Council Open Studios?

Open Studios is a free, self-guided art discovery tour.

There are four components to Marin Arts Council Open Studios:

• Artist Studios: artists open their studios to the public the first two weekends in May
• Artist Directory: a 48-page full-color artist directory plus map
• Gallery: the Open Studios Gallery featuring one piece of artwork per artist, open for one month
• Online Gallery: year-round Gallery of participating artists with links to artist websites and more examples of their work

Open Studios 2008: Thank you

Marin Arts Council Open Studios 2008 took place over the first two weekends in May. It was another great success made possible by sponsors, advertisers and contributors who view the arts as a vital part of our community.

Open Studios would not exist without the artists who graciously open their doors to the public and volunteer their time for a variety of tasks. View the Open Studios artists' work in the Online Gallery.

Finally, Open Studios is supported by you, the studio/gallery visitor and arts patron. Purchasing art directly from the studio allows you to connect with the artist and hear stories behind their work.
