After 50 years of writing, I published my first novel this year, to glowing reviews. “Careful by the Railing” is the result of 8 unpublished novels, hundreds of readings and salons, six hundred poems and many editors. James Joyce wrote famously that a writer has to support his work through ‘silence, exile and cunning.’ Those are my tools.
I live in Fairfax and have a day job that I love. Writing is one way to touch the source of all inspiration; the word for the source is God/Goddess, Great Mystery, Higher Power. Take your pick.
