Abigail Lee Goldberger Artist statement:
My paintings are inspired by fairy tales, myths, dreams, memories, experience, longing, religion, and nature.
Abigail is primarily an oil painter but has also studied and continues to practice lithography and intaglio printmaking, animation, metalwork, clay and drawing. She learned stone sculpture at an early age from her mother who was an established stone sculptor. From there she has continued to study art, in a variety of disciplines, mostly self taught but also through classes at Massachusetts College of Art and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Abigail is influenced by fairy tales, dreams and stories of all types. Her paintings try to capture the movement of an entire story with all of its evolutions and hidden meanings within a single two dimensional frame.
