Adapting to Wildfire
Exhibition Dates:
* May 22 – August 30
Our world is changing, and we must adapt to survive.
Fire Safe Marin and the Department of Cultural Services invited Bay Area artists to submit works of art exploring what it means to adapt to wildfire.
The artworks were juried by Emebet B. Korn, Founder and Director of DESTA Gallery in Mill Valley, who selected 58 works that were first exhibited at Ember Stomp, an annual Wildfire Prevention Festival at the Civic Center Fairgrounds on May 20.
This exhibition is intended to inspire thought and conversation about:
- Our changing relationship with nature.
- The effects of climate change.
- How the threat of wildfire affects us individually and collectively.
- Resilience of people and our environment.
