Book Passage is hosting 2 fabulous artists!
We will be hosting Daniel DiPierro on December 3 in the Gallery space, where his work is already on display. It looks great and we encourage everyone to take a peek.
Daniel DiPierro was born and raised on Long Island, NY and has been making art since childhood. Attending art school at SUNY New Paltz before heading to Northern California in 1973…he is now retired from a career of 45+ years of teaching art, while he continued to exhibit throughout those years right up to the present. Music and travel are major inspirations…as is living and participating in the wider Bay Area creative community: 14 years as Artist-in-Residence at the Exploratorium, California Arts Council, and CSSSA among many others. He has enjoyed residencies in Japan, Italy, and India. Always with his constant companions being his sketchbook and camera each step of the way…to influence the next body of work!
On December 4 we are hosting Tom Killion in the Cafe. We are restocked with his work and ready for the holidays. Killion was born and raised in Marin County, where the rugged scenery inspired him from an early age to create spectacular landscape prints. His work has been inspired by the landscape prints of early 19th century Japan as well as early 20th century European/American wood-engraving and book illustration techniques.
