Auditions for The Imaginary Invalid: Monday, March 2, 6:30 – 9:30 pm in the Studio Theatre

When:
Monday, March 2nd, 2020 from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. in the Studio Theatre (PA32)The Performing Arts Building, College of Marin Kentfield Campus

What to prepare:
Please present two contrasting monologues and a short song.  If you play a portable instrument, bring it with you.

Callbacks:   Saturday, March 7th , 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. in the Studio Theatre (PA32)

Rehearsals:    March 17, 2020 – April 30, 2020 (Tuesday through Friday, 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm.

Performances:   May 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, and 16 @ 7:30 p.m. and May 3, 10, and 17 @ 2 p.m.

Synopsis:  Argan is very ill.  Or is he?  His wife, his brother, his children, his servants, and his doctors all have their own remedies.  Romance, comedy, urine specimens, hypodermic needles, and just plain silliness ensues in one of Moliere’s most funny social comedies.

Main characters:   Argan (a hypochondriac), Toinette (a servant), Guy (a musician), Angelique (Argan’s youngest daughter), Louison (Argan’s oldest daughter), Beline (Argan’s second wife), Cleante (a florist and suitor to  Angelique), Monsieur De Bonnefoi (a lawyer), Monsieur Diafoirus (Father of Thomas Diafoirus), Thomas Diafoirus (son of Monsieur Diafoirus, suitor to Angelique), Beralde (Brother of Argan), Fleurant (an Apothecary), Doctor Purgon, Parisian townspeople.
