Call for Applications: Pirkle Jones Visual Artist Support Program

$25,000 grant for emerging or mid-career visual artists residing in Marin

The Pirkle Jones Fund of the Marin Community Foundation has announced the call for applications for its Visual Artist Support Program, which will recognize an emerging or mid-career visual artist residing in Marin with a grant of $25,000.

This grant is offered to support a promising artist and may be used for any purpose, including living expenses.

Last year, Isis Hockenos, a resident of Marshall, was the eight recipient of a grant from its Visual Artist Support Program. The grant enabled the painter, printmaker, muralist and performance artist to evolve her work, explore new media and continue her intimate artistic involvement with her West Marin community [pictured: Side Street Kitchen, Point Reyes Station].

Application Deadline: April 1, 2019 – all applications must be submitted on or before this date for consideration.

The award will be announced by June 17, 2019 and awarded by July 15, 2019.

This grant is administered by the Marin Community Foundation. Please email Lani Alo at MCF with questions.
