Students in grades 5-12 (ages 12-25) can submit art and film projects to win cash prizes while exploring curriculum on critical health issues (coping during the pandemic, mental health, self-esteem and many more).
For the months of December and January, submissions will be accepted around the themes of Hope and Justice, and for our TikTok Challenge.
Submissions are due January 31, 2022 and winning art will be featured on the Directing Change website and on social media. All art forms accepted. No fee to enter. Win up to $300 in Amazon gift cards! Learn more here.
Winners exhibited online.
HOPE: Create a film, song, narrative, or piece of art that shares your story and encourages others to find their own way to get through tough times. What do you see or experience in your life or community right now that gives you hope?
JUSTICE: Our perspectives are shaped by our own backgrounds, identities, families, friends, life experiences and more. Create a project that shares your personal experience with discrimination or encourages young people to take a stand against injustice.
TIKTOK CHALLENGE: What are your hopes for 2022? Share your hopes for the New Year. What changes do you want to see in your community? For yourself? For your loved ones? The first 25 submitted TikToks receive a $20 Amazon Gift Card. All submissions will be judged for a $100 first place prize.
