CMCF Summer Concert Series

Summer Concerts are back at Piccolo Pavilion!

The Corte Madera Community Foundation will continue our long standing tradition of sponsoring music for the community this summer.

Music will be from 5:00 – 6:30 pm, Sundays, at Piccolo Pavilion, Menke Park.

Below is the new line-up of bands for the 2021 Corte Madera Summer Concerts.

June 13
A.J. Lee & Blue Summit
Pure, beautiful American music. Soaring harmonies, top notch picking and strumming as well as a healthy respect and reverence for the classic country, bluegrass and folk music of the past all add up to a band who are masters of the genre.

June 20
The Coffis Brothers and the Mountain Men
This is pure roots rock, focused on melody, harmony, rhythm and mood. There are echoes of The Byrds, Tom Petty and The Jayhawks, and from years of touring, they have honed their sound into shimmering, high-energy rock and roll.

June 27
Corte Madera Town Band
They play classical concert band compositions, musicals, rock and roll, blues, jazz, marches and much more.  They come to practice with a smile and there are always a few laughs.

July 11
Dirty Cello

A four-piece string ensemble that truly pushes the envelope and breaks the barriers, they blend blues, bluegrass and world music sounds with roots in the world of European classical music in a style that is unique and refreshing.

July 18
Nancy Wright and the Rhythm and Roots Band
Nancy Wright is one of the most highly respected and in-demand sax players on today’s blues, Americana and R&B scene. Major music writers have hailed her big-toned tenor and compared her to the all-time greats.

July 25
Jenny Kerr Band
San Francisco native and Oxford dropout, multi-instrumentalist (finger-style and slide guitar, claw hammer banjo, harmonica, piano), as well as a poetic and passionate songwriter, Jenny Kerr is known for foot-stomping live shows and powerful, authentic voice.

August 1
The Lucky Losers
Accompanied by a dynamic four piece ensemble, veteran Bay Area artists, Cathy Lemons and Phil Berkowitz deliver a truly signature sound, layering elements of Stax/Volt styled R&B, electric Americana, and psychedelic rock atop a Chicago and Texas blues foundation.

August 8
Kimoko Joy and the RubaDub Posse
The RUBaDUB POSSE is a female fronted, live reggae band that pays tribute to the greatest reggae legends of our time. Their show features tunes from the Rocksteady, Roots and Rockers era (Bob Marley and the Wailers, Marcia Aitken, Steele Pulse, Sister Nancy, Gregory Isaacs, Jimmy Cliff and Toots and the Maytals), to the more contemporary sounds of Lovers Rock and Dancehall (Queen Ifrica, Luciano, Barrington Levy, Dawn Penn and Estelle).

August 15
Soul Mechanix featuring Omega Rae
Soul Mechanix blends groove-based Soul improv and progressive Funk drawing from a diverse universe of influences.

August 22
Bubba’s Taxi
Just a bunch of guys that love to play music, especially in their hometown of Marin. Bubba’s Taxi plays mostly covers of rock and blues.

August 29
Danny Click and the Heck Yeahs
An anything-can-happen mix of stellar songwriting alternating with blistering blues-rock. When Click brings it down with the strings-inflected “Blue Skies”, you can hear every breath in the room; when he launches into the infectious “Wait My Turn,” there’s not one person who can stay seated.
