Kanekoa
Uke-Powered Hawaiian Jam Rock
Corte Madera Summer Concerts
* Sunday, July 2, 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm
Sailing in on a wave of blissful sound, Kanekoa has become a global phenomenon over the last several years.
Powered by electric ukuleles and exotic rhythms, these ukulele masters ride the wave of island roots with jam band energy, creating a sound they call Hawaiian jam-rock.
Bill Kreutzmann goes so far as to call them, “the Hawaiian Grateful Dead.” David Hidalgo of Los Lobos says, “These guys scare me. They are that good.”
The Corte Madera Community Foundation will continue our long standing tradition of sponsoring music for the community this summer.
