17 days of free artist workshops, art making, demos & more. Free and open to the public. Your RSVP helps us prepare enough space and materials for all who would like to participate.
Artist Members and Board Members of Gallery Route One will be presenting free creative activities to the community. You’ll have an opportunity to witness an artist’s creative process, or take a workshop, or get your hands on some art materials and do your own thing.
Lots of hands-on opportunities for art-making will be available from Friday, April 19 through Sunday, May 5 (except Tuesdays), 11am – 5pm. Materials provided!
A few examples of experiences include:
– Knitting For Climate Change with Shelley Rugg
– Collaborative Wall Draw/Paint/Collage with Zea Movitz and Susan Sasso
– Paper Play: Make a costume, mask, sculpture & improvise with Diana Marto and Benjie Lasseau
Make a Cyanotype; paint; draw; make a costume and perform in it; sketch with charcoal; make a collage; make a zine; use a stencil with homemade inks; watch a portrait painter at work; make a clear mold; bind a book; collaborate on a giant drawing; work on your own project with others, and more!
ALL are invited to partake in this creative gift to the community. Non-artists and artists alike are all welcome to jump in and play together creatively. You may want to simply come to be inspired by the creativity of others.
Your RSVP helps us prepare enough space and materials for all who would like to participate
