Contemporary pieces that celebrate the power and beauty of music to reach past international borders, from China, Turkey, Iran, England, Hungary and the USA
“…robust, finely blended ensemble playing, rhythmic alertness and a fearless willingness to take on a wide range of contemporary repertoire” – San Francisco Chronicle
Hailed by Gramophone as “masters of all musical things they survey,” Del Sol String Quartet shares the voices of living composers, drawing upon the tradition of song and dance rhythms from their diverse cultures.
From China, Turkey, Iran, England, Hungary and the USA, these pieces celebrate the power and beauty of music to reach past international borders. Two-time top winner of the Chamber Music America/ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming, the ensemble champions music that is compellingly relevant to our lives today with audiences around the world.
