Lobby Exhibit:  Donna Loftus

Donna Loftus’ current show at the Throckmorton Theater shows a variety of her artworks from 2016 to 2021. Her love of family, nature, flowers, hiking and food show up in many of her artworks as seen at the theater.  This show represents a wide range of subjects and styles which she has created since she began painting.   She is a member of the Marin Society of Artists where she has won many awards.  She has also participated in Marin Open Studios for several years.  She has entered and shown in several jurored and unjurored art shows in Northern California including the Marin County Fair and the student show at College of Marin.

Crescendo Exhibit:  Bibby Gignilliat

As a recovering perfectionist I choose to work in mixed media using collage and acrylic because it’s forgiving. I love bold colors, geometric shapes and text which come alive with whimsy on wood panels and paper. I am happiest when I am drawing outside the lines on the canvas and in life.

My work is inspired by my own personal growth and the realization that the only limits I face are self-imposed. Art allows me to let go of control and surrender to the painting in front of me. Each piece expresses a feeling I am experiencing, an aspect of growth I am facing, or a question I am contemplating as I create it.

My work was chosen for the DeYoung Museum Open in 2020 at the DeYoung Museum. It is available through my studio in the ICB Building, the SFMOMA Artists Gallery (though November), Sloan Miyasato at the SF Design Center, through Slate Contemporary in Oakland.
