Erik Lingvall TV/Film Workshop Weekend

Marin native Erik Lingvall (Founder, Catapult Acting Studios / winner of the 2015 Readers’ Choice for Atlanta’s Favorite Acting Coach) will be returning to Marin at the O’Hanlon Center for the Arts to instruct three custom workshops July 6th + July 7th, 2019.

Saturday, July 6:
ON-CAMERA AUDITION INTENSIVE  (Ages 12-18)
Learn the keys to own the audition room and consistently deliver great work. Utilizing Erik’s unique methods and his psychological approach to the craft of acting, actors will dive deep into the art of auditioning for the camera. Working with scripts from TV/Film, actors will apply Erik’s methods of letting go, owning the moment, connecting, and creating a winning mindset all while implementing choices unique to each actor.

Sunday, July 7:
DISNEY/NICK AUDITION TECHNIQUE  (Ages 8-16)

Having worked with top actors in Disney / Nick genres (Will Buie (Bunk’d), Navia Robinson (Raven’s Home)), actors will learn and apply Erik’s three T’s to comedy – Timing, Tempo, and Taking risks.

Some might look at these types of shows and think that the actors are “over the top” or “fake”. However, there is a level of authenticity and energy that actors must have in order to bring the characters of these shows to life. It is through this concept that Erik will deliver the tools and techniques needed to achieve success in this style of comedy.

MASTER CLASS  (Ages 12-18)
Specifically designed for the more advanced actor, this class will dive much deeper into scene study, camera awareness and character development. Most actors pretend  to be a character. The goal of this 4 hour intensive is to teach actors that there is no pretending in acting. To really bring a character to life, you must come from a place of truth.
