Kim Eagles-Smith Gallery is proud to present ‘The Spirit in Everyday Things’
The paintings and bronzes of Fred Reichman, 1960-2003. This is his first exhibition at our Mill Valley Gallery after a long association dating to the mid 1980s.
Fred was a painter and sculptor and also practiced his own style of Zen.
He was also a connoisseur of Haiku poetry. In fact one could say that his paintings are visual Haiku poems. They involve intimate observations of everyday objects, family members, his pet cat Issa and spontaneous encounters with wildlife.
His work is in the collections of many prestigious museums including The National Gallery of American Art, Washington DC, San Francisco Museum
Please join us for refreshments at the First Tuesday Artwalk and experience the very special work of Fred Reichman.
