A talk and walk about organisms that are unexpected friends to gardens everywhere
A talk and walk with Frédérique Lavoipierre that will show how many birds, reptiles, bugs, and other organisms are unexpected friends to gardens everywhere, helping to keep true pests in check while pollinating flowers and vegetable crops.
In the new book Garden Allies – The Insects, Birds & Other Animals That Keep Your Garden Beautiful and Thriving, Frédérique Lavoipierre profiles these fascinating and ecologically beneficial creatures, describing their life cycles, environmental roles, and how to attract these helpers to the garden.
The author will lead an illustrated talk followed by a walk through the gardens.
An outdoor reception afterwards with a chance to purchase the book and have it signed by the author.
