House of RoCo—25 Years of Home

This premiere is a seamless piece of choreography theming aspects of a house and what is home.

Original video will be a backdrop to the dance pulling the audience through passageways into different rooms and lifetime events.

Original compositions by San Francisco composer Beth Custer paired with popular music embellish high energy, artfully nuanced dances by award winning Bay Area choreographers.

The dancers are a selected group of RoCo Dance trained contemporary, hip hop, jazz, ballet, and break dancers. The first half of the evening is RoCo Dance OnStage, presenting their end of year production comprised of diverse 2-4 minute dances of varying ages and styles. “House of RoCo” will follow.

Choreographers include SF, East Bay and North Bay professionals Annie Rosenthal Parr, Kristin Damrow, Jeff Wong, Ayana Yonesaka, Chelsea Brown, Chelsea Marie Hill, Sadie Carhart, Tessa Barbour, Kyle Mitchell, Tara Pilbrow, Melinda Neal, Rebecca Rozell, Suzy Myre, Casey Thorne, and Prince Ali.
