Halau Hula Na Pua O Ka La’akea – Performances for the Schools

This performance consists of traditional ancient Hawaiian chanting, drumming and dancing, interwoven with modern Hawaiian hula, singing and music using live ‘ukulele and guitar musicians.

Narration of the myths, legends and history that each chant, song, dance is birthed from will accompany each piece.

The entire presentation will be in a storytelling format, allowing the audience to engage in the rich and inspiring history of Hawai’i’s people.

All grades. Please note: The 11:00am performance is followed by an optional interactive workshop lasting approximately 25 minutes; this workshop is suitable for grades 5-8.
