Desta Gallery is pleased to announce, Inner Impulses, a two-person exhibition of works by Carolyn Meyer and Patrick Lee, on view from May 24 to July 2.

Carolyn Meyer‘s striking impasto cityscape paintings exemplify the dance between light, texture, and color and capture the essence of the cities she paints. Her work reveals a unique balance between representation and abstraction.

Patrick Lee draws heavily on his intuition and imagination to develop an image, often altering the drawing, color, and spatial relationships to create a mood and express feeling about the subject. His work often results in strong elements of abstraction and suggestion rather than explicit detail.
