Jennifer Hartswick Band (Trey Anastasio Band) - with Magic In The Other

Jazz, Soul, R&B and more

Jennifer Hartswick is one of the most exciting performers in music today. She inspires audiences all over the world with her powerful voice and commanding trumpet playing. She exudes confidence and joy and brings her own refreshing spirit to the stage every time she performs. Jennifer’s music is honest, soulful and comes with a maturity far beyond her years.

Jennifer’s live performances are renowned as spontaneous, joyful and contagious. Her natural charisma and sincerity shines through, and each performance is a celebration of musical collaboration; the camaraderie between Jennifer and her band mates is always visible. And whether she is wailing on the trumpet or singing an intimate vocal solo, her performance is all part of a single seamless instrument, one that is played not only with astounding technical proficiency, but also with sensitivity, conviction and heart.

Magic In The Other founder and leader Ezra Lipp has spent the last decade honing his craft as one of the most creative, versatile, and in-demand drummers in the Bay Area and beyond. He has performed all over the US and around the world with an impressive and diverse roster of bands and artists including the likes of Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh, Iranian counter-culture superstar Mohsen Namjoo, Folk-Soul troubadour Sean Hayes, and many others. Featuring the relentlessly groovy Steve Adams on the bass (ALO, Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers) and innovative Oakland guitarist Roger Riedlbauer (Mercury Falls). The music indirectly borrows from many different influences and idioms: be it the rhythmic sophistication of Jazz and West African music, the energy and spirit of Rock N’ Roll, the movement based compositional format of Western Classical, or the improvisatory intensity of North India Ragas.
