The Color Me Carefully Downloadable Coloring Pages Collection – 5 images per set/purchase

The idea for this project was born from my life long passion to draw. It’s always been a sanctuary for me. My high school art teacher introduced me to the technique of “Blind Contour”. I was hooked. The notion that one could draw without looking at the paper and only at the subject fascinated me.

Contour is the the French term meaning “with the surface”. This technique forces one to truly observe what one see’s by keeping your eye and hand moving at the same speed without looking down at the paper. Like reading music when playing an instrument.

As we move through this unprecedented time of quarantine, I wanted to do something that could brighten the day of those living in solitude. My Dad, 98, lives in a Sr. community in lockdown. I created a series of line drawings to be offered to the residents of his community to color in.

So during this self quarantine, I decided to share my passion by making these drawings into coloring pages for others to enjoy. “Color me Carefully” is the place where I can bring my passion for drawing directly from my table to yours. Each of these original drawings were created with ink markers on paper by me.

When printing these pages, I suggest using a good quality card stock or heavier weight paper using markers or colored pencils. If you don’t want to frame them, an easy way to display them could be to attach spring load clothespins flat on the wall and hang them in the pinch of the pin. I hope you enjoy coloring as much as I enjoyed creating them. Have fun and be creative & diverse with your colors!
