Online discussion of an immersive and compelling new book on the 60s and 70s
In conjunction with Mill Valley Historical Society
The first American Revolution was fought to secure representation and freedom from an unwanted empire, a monarchy stretching its tentacles across the ocean.
But that revolution didn’t win rights for everyone. That would take a series of smaller but nonetheless crucial movements, including the series of uprisings that unfolded in the 1960s and 1970s.
These movements are at the heart of By the Light of Burning Dreams: The Triumphs and Tragedies of the Second American Revolution, written by siblings and co-authors David and Margaret Talbot. Join us for an evening with the authors as they discuss their immersive and compelling new book.
