Pianist Larry Vuckovich has won acclaim for his deeply imaginative style and repertoire
The onset of the COVID 19 crisis has produced severe economic shocks to the US and the global economies that have affected many of the hardest working people disproportionately, musicians among them.
Musicians from all over the world with thriving careers saw their professional lives came to a grinding halt within the span of a few days and with no end in sight.
Experiencing a Shelter in Place Concert is an opportunity to share your passion for music with your families in the comfort of your own surroundings and an opportunity to help these amazing artists keep their careers alive.
The New York Times notes that his unique outlook and collection of influences “set him apart from most pianists who are heard regularly in New York.” Pianist Larry Vuckovich has an amazing history of performing with a huge number of jazz greats who span a wide range of different styles. Some of them are Dexter Gordon, Mel Torme, Bobby Hutcherson, Jon Hendricks, Tony Bennett, Chet Baker, Bobby McFerrin, great Latin percussionist Jose Mangual (who recorded with Charlie Parker), Vince Guaraldi, Wes Montgomery, to name just a few.
“The Balkan bopper has a trio with Mel Lewis, and a book of piano gems that will keep you guessing.” – Gary Giddins, The Village Voice
Shelter in Place Concerts are live, online events in a salon-like setting with world-class musicians, Grammy artists and Steinway artists among them.
