Livestreamed Event
Take a front-row seat at your computer and join jazz & cabaret entertainer Gilda Solve live!
Join jazz & cabaret entertainer Gilda Solve for a special tribute to the great standards composed by Harold Arlen.
Throughout the early- and mid-1930’s, Arlen composed (with lyricist Ted Keohler) songs for The Cotton Club such as “Get Happy,” “Let’s Fall in Love,” and “Stormy Weather.”
He went on to team up with lyricist Johnny Mercer and write hit after hit, songs like “Blues In the Night,” “That Old Black Magic,” “Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive,” “Come Rain or Come Shine” and more.
But his most beloved contributions were probably his musical scores for The Wizard of Oz and of course A Star is Born.
Guests are welcome to ask questions via the chat throughout the program.
