Marin American Indian Alliance Workshops
Marin American Indian Alliance offers Workshops to Build Cultural Pride: Dance, Drum Practice Crafts
Sunday Workshops:
* February 12 – March 12, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Part of the Marin American Indian Alliance’s mission is to provide a venue for tribal cultures and indigenous knowledge to thrive. When we started planning the Marin Powwow, we knew there would be families who wanted their kids to learn powwow dancing and music, and also adults who may not have had the chance to practice. We also see the workshops as a way to build cultural pride, and to build excitement for the upcoming powwow.
Sundays:
February 12 – Powwow Dance & Drum Practice
Join powwow dance teacher Ann Sanchez and learn traditional powwow dance. No previous experience necessary, suitable for all ages, all genders. All drums and singers welcome.
