Movement Ritual & Dance Explorations: Rest and Replenish with Joy Cosculluela
Movement Ritual & Dance Explorations
Through somatic awareness, dance explorations, drawing and creative writing, we explore creativity.
* 4 Mondays, Virtual Classes
October 2-23, 10:00 am – 11:30 am
What would our bodies say as we harvest the fruits of summer and transition towards resting and replenishing for the fall season?
Through somatic awareness, dance explorations, drawing and creative writing, we explore the bright abundance of late summer and the slow reflectiveness of fall as our movement inspiration. We will apply the creative tools of the Tamalpa Life/Art Process as we work with the sensations, emotions, and images that arise from our explorations.
We’ll work with Anna Halprin’s Movement Ritual & Dance Explorations to tune in to bodily sensations, release unnecessary tension, and generate creative expression. We’ll explore movement cycles such as expanding and condensing, falling and rising, and other patterns to support us through seasonal changes.
Open to all! Please have a comfortable space to move and drawing and writing materials on hand.
