Ole Schell, Mia Monroe, and Audrey Fusco discuss the creation of a Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary

An international filmmaker and writer, Ole Schell has established a Monarch butterfly sanctuary on his family land in Bolinas.

Coinciding with the museum’s exhibition, Ole Schell: The Magic of Creating A Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary, Schell and collaborators Mia Monroe, a national park ranger and specialist on monarchs, and Audrey Fusco, a restoration ecologist, and Elizabeth Weber, a documentary photographer whose work in on view in the Photography Gallery, will share the biology, botany, and creativity of bringing this project to fruition.
