Spend the week taking photographs with your smartphone and creating unique art pieces with the images using experimental printing techniques.
Kids ages 9 – 11 will have fun in this photography camp learning new shooting and printing techniques.
Using their smartphones, the kids will learn new photographing and editing skills. Then they will turn those images into one-of-a-kind works of art using experimental printing techniques.
Constance Chu will teach the photography portion of the summer photography class. Kids will learn image composition and editing using the Snapseed app.
Laurie Reemsnyder will lead the printing half of the workshop in which kids will make amazing art pieces using the photographs they have taken. The kids will learn to make transfer prints using Purell and other materials, scratching and bleaching, weaving and hand-coloring.
At the end of the week, students will have several finished pieces to bring home.
