Two days of celebrations of West Marin’s Rural Roots!
Western Weekend is here, in Downtown Point Reyes and Toby’s Feed Barn!
On Saturday come enjoy the 4-H Fair, Toby’s Gallery, the Hootenanny with salsa tasting, great local choirs, and the Barn Dance!
On Sunday see the Parade, with live music, delicious food and more!
Schedule of Events
Saturday, June 2
1:00 pm – 4-H West Marin Fair, awards at 3:00 pm
3:00-5:00 pm – Toby’s Gallery: GRO presents Artists in the Schools and Latino Photography Project reception
The Saturday Hootenanny starts at 5:00! In downtown Point Reyes – a community celebration for young and old to warm your tummy, soothe your soul and wear in those dancing boots.
5:00 pm – In front of the Barn the Aztec Dancers will be serving pozole, tamales and aguas frescas and Abriendos Caminos will host the acclaimed Abriendos Caminos salsa tasting contest.
5:30 pm – Inside, the new and amazing Point Reyes Children’s Choir will perform followed by the 50-voice West Marin Choir with songs to get you into the barn-dancing mood.
6:30-9:30 pm – The annual Western Weekend Barn Dance with Erik Thor & Hands Four, which is Erik Hoffman (caller/fiddler), Ingrid Noyes (banjo), Michael Harmon (guitar), Roxanne Oliva (accordion) and Paul Knight (bass). New dancers welcome.
Admission is free, kids are welcome, and food is by donation.
Sunday, June 3
Noon – 4:00 pm – First the Parade at Noon! At the Barn, live music, Mexican food, homemade desserts, chicken BBQ, chili cook-off, and more!
