A Frontline Documentary presented in partnership with Children For Change
In 2012 PBS’s news documentary series FRONTLINE explored the issue of child poverty and homelessness in America through the eyes of the children themselves in the Emmy-nominated Poor Kids.
Five years later they revisit the kids at the heart of the film—Kaylie, Brittany, Jasmine, and Johnny—and their families to see what their lives are like now, offering a powerful and intimate look at what poverty and homelessness mean to children—and to the country.
With more than one in six of the nation’s children living below the poverty line, Poor Kids offers an unforgettable perspective on the impact of unemployment, foreclosure, and financial distress through the eyes of the children who are directly impacted.
