The Mill Valley Arts Commission is pleased to present Rotating Art in the Depot Plaza: Robb Havassy California Dreamin on Mountains of the Moon
Robb Havassy, a native of California, currently splits time between Mill Valley and Orange County, while maintaining galleries/studios in Costa Rica and Maui.
A fine artist, designer and author, Havassy is best known as one of the surf culture’s more prolific and prominent creative forces, creating in multiple styles, disciplines and subject matter.
A reimagined version of his California Dream painting from 2021, this art is inspired in part by Van Gogh’s Irises, celebrating the beauty and majesty of Marin…especially Mt. Tamalpais, a subject he has painted dozens of times over the past 20 years. For more information about the artist, his art and books visit him:

Rotating Art in the Depot Plaza is a program sponsored by the Mill Valley Arts Commission as part of our Art in Public Places initiative with the support of The Depot Cafe and Bookstore, and the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce. Over the course of twelve months, from March 2023 to June 2024, we are featuring work by artists Robb Havassy, Mary Lee Rybar, Mary Edwards, and Amy Cruz. Artworks will be presented in a rotating exhibition installed on the exterior wall of the Depot building, visible at the corner of Miller Avenue and Throckmorton Avenue, in Mill Valley.
