Based on the best-selling book from Sausalito resident Louann Brizendine, The Female Brain is the directorial debut for comedian Whitney Cummings
Dr. Brizendine will present and discuss the imaginative yet unconventional movie adaptation of her bestselling science book The Female Brain.
In her feature debut as a director, Whitney Cummings plays Julia Brizendine, a neuroscientist whose research into the biochemistry of the female brain is illustrated by three couples, played by Cecily Strong and Blake Griffin, Sofia Vergara and Deon Cole, and Lucy Punch and James Marsden.
As Julia examines the science behind our romantic impulses, she also attempts to put herself under the microscope after meeting an attractive new subject (Toby Kebbell) for her study.
It’s not every day that a scientific text becomes the basis for a romantic comedy! Also starring Beanie Feldstein.
