Scott Fletcher – Moments in Marin History

Marin History Museum invites you to a celebration of author and historian Scott Fletcher’s new book!

Moments in Marin History: Familiar Tales and Untold Stories is a collection of photographs and accompanying articles that first appeared in the Marin Independent Journal.

The photographs, taken from the Marin History Museum’s vast collection, were carefully selected and researched by Scott Fletcher and capture moments in time that tell the story of a people and land that have shaped our county’s past, present and future.

The image subjects are diverse and represent all geographic areas of the county.

Scott Fletcher has lived and worked in Marin since 1985 and has a keen interest in the history of our county. He has been a volunteer with the Marin History Museum since 2011, working as a cataloger for the Louise Arner Boyd Collection and has authored over 140 ‘History Watch’ articles that have appeared in the Marin Independent Journal newspaper. Scott was a history teacher in Marin for many years and was library director at San Domenico School from 2005-2018.
