West Marin Choir showcases its three community choirs in this year-end gala.
Celebrate West Marin’s spirit through community and song at this musical variety show featuring folk legend Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, the rousing West Marin Choir, the new Point Reyes Children’s Choir and a Festive Winter Singalong with Tim Weed, emcee’d by acclaimed comic actor Geoff Hoyle.
This is a rare chance to catch Ramblin’ Jack in concert. One of the great folk icons of this country, Jack is a multi-Grammy-award winner who was Woody Guthrie’s protegé and Bob Dylan’s mentor, serving as the living link between the two. In the tradition of roving troubadours Jack has carried the seeds and pollens of story and song for decades from one place to another, from one generation to the next.
West Marin Choir has chapters in Point Reyes and Stinson Beach, plus the new Point Reyes Children’s Choir which will be making its debut performance. The choirs will sing the joyful harmony songs they’ve been working on this fall and will invite the audience to join for a festive singalong of holiday songs for all traditions.
Refreshments available.
This heartwarming community event highlights the best of the local spirit of West Marin, with proceeds benefitting Sound Orchard, a nonprofit with a mission to build community through music.
