Spirit Nest

Come explore the Spirit Nest, designed by world-renowned artist Jayson Fann!

Spirit Nest Build, Lagoon Park:
* August 7-19 (open to visitors)

Grand Opening, Lagoon Park:
* Sunday, August 19, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

Installation/Display, Stafford Lake Park:
* August 22, 2018 – April 2019

After a Branch Harvest in early August as part of fire fuel management in Terra Linda/Sleepy Hollow Preserve, the Spirit Nest Build begins August 7 at Children’s Island in Lagoon Park, starting with wood sorting. Then small teams of select volunteers will assist the artist in assembling the nest.

During the build, park visitors can watch the organic structure taking shape. Please observe caution signs in the work area.

The Grand Opening of the Spirit Nest takes place in Lagoon Park on August 19, from 11am to 2pm. Join us for the festivities, and experience the Spirit Nest!  All ages welcome–kids with an adult.

The Spirit Nest will be installed at Stafford Lake Park August 22, and remain through April 2019.
