Summer Visual Arts Intensive for Marin Teens on Social Justice

Teens: join Youth in Arts’ summer mentorship program for emerging high school artists

Applications Due:  6/18

Are you a teen who is passionate about equity and raising awareness in your community?

Participants in C Street: Untitled will work with Mentor Artist Orin Carpenter to create a collaborative public artwork to be placed in San Rafael’s Terra Linda community.

The five-week project will center on the topics of racism and social justice, with a specific focus on Marin.

The program is open to up to 10 artists in Marin County, ages 13 – 18, who are passionate about creating and sharing their artwork with the community.

Participants must commit to the full program, which runs from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm Mondays and Wednesdays at the YIA studio from June 28 to August 4. Artists will be given a stipend for their work.
