Sundays on Sherman September

It’s a time to celebrate the importance of our parks, trails, open space, and recreation facilities for the health and development of all Californians.

In recognition, the Novato Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department is throwing another outdoor event to celebrate the importance of parks & recreation, while providing an opportunity to bring our community together for some FREE fun!

Please join us on Sunday, September 16th as we take over Sherman Avenue and the Civic Green to play in the street!

Sundays on Sherman is a chance for community members of all ages to come outside and participate in structured and unstructured play free of traffic restrictions. Guests can participate in organized activities onsite, or bring their own bike, roller blades, balls, Frisbees and other toys and simply PLAY!

Activities include:  Musical Instruments and Crafts; Art for all ages; Kids vs. Cops Fitness Challenge and Raffle; Lawn Games; Dance Activities and Demos; Lego Build; Soccer and Games; Tai Chi and Kempo Karate Demonstrations, Exercises and Interactive Participation; Bicycle Bike Rodeo; Extreme Air Bungee and Inflatable T-Ball Game; Giant Jenga; Giant Connect Four; Bubbles, Sensory Bins, Hula Hoops, Gaga Ball, Inflatable Football Toss, Inflatable Bowling, Inflatable Archery.
