TEDx Salon: The Brain and Consciuosness
Please note, this event has expired.
A heady and heartfelt TEDxSalon on The Brain and Consciousness.
* Thursday June 6, 6:30–9:45 pm
TEDxMarin is proud to present a very special SALON and community gathering at the Kanbar Center at Osher Marin JCC.
We will explore the latest research on the human brain, meditation, dementia, and consciousness.
Remarkable new evidence will be shared about what happens in the brain (second by second) when we bring focus inward, and why it’s so beneficial.
We’ll also explore how and if consciousness remains when the wiring breaks down, as in Alzheimer’s, and we’ll discuss our understanding of the age-old question, “what IS consciousness?”
This SALON includes a Pre-talk community reception connecting our 500+ attendees, including a showcase of interesting non-profits, start-ups, and local companies and services.
No Host Bar and very light food tastes will be available.
Community gathering begins at 6:30 pm. Presentations begin at 8 pm.
