A thoughtful look at the outlook for our democracy – with a little comedy thrown in
The 2019 TED SALON continues at the historic Angelico Hall @ Dominican University in San Rafael. At each TEDxSalon we go deep into one specific TOPIC, with insights from leaders in their field.
There is a corruption at the heart of American politics, caused by the dependence of candidates on funding from the tiniest percentage of citizens. That’s the argument at the core of legal scholar Lawrence Lessig’s life long work about Democracy. Fundamentally cross-partisan, and incredibly hopeful, Mr. Lessig conveys a roadmap for a democracy we could reclaim.
The entire evening will be with Lawrence Lessig including a Q&A segment with the audience.
Opening the program we have a very special guest, political satirist Will Durst.
This promises to be a thoughtful look at the outlook for our Democracy. With a little comedy thrown in.
