Alun Wyld Artist statement:
There is no distinction between magic and mundane. In the natural world all is magical and all is mundane, simultaneously.
Anyone who lives close to the earth will know of sites in the natural landscape that seem to stand apart as distinct from the surroundings. These places are sometimes described by mystics and shamans as vortexes where natural powers manifest in with exceptional potency.
Such locations supply opportunities to encounter the more mysterious dimensions of reality. These photographs of sacred, local places are glimpses of realms and the beings within them, capturing the moments in space and time where the realms are just beginning to lift their veils so one can travel within them.
