Theme: Color has long been credited for affecting our emotions and attitudes. We daily choose colors to wear, setting the tone for the day ahead. Artists instinctively choose colors that speak to the mood of a work they are creating. Sometimes extreme pleasure is found in the accidental or purposeful combinations of colors. One can feel uplifted by the saturation of even just one color.
Juror: Susan Press, Curator and Artist
Juror’s statement: “My experience as I viewed the many entries for this exhibit was definitely one of extreme pleasure. The final selection includes a good variety of mediums all filled with a richness of color! Some images included humor and all showed a strong sense of composition. I found myself wishing for two galleries to fill, the submissions were so excellent. Thank you to all who entered this exhibit.”
