In the Main Gallery: An art show curated by James Vogel includes work from Bay Area artists Holly Wong (San Francisco), Peter Crompton (Santa Rosa), Heidi Brueckner (Oakland) and James Vogel (Petaluma).
Opening reception and chance to meet the artists August 2nd 5:30-7:30 pm.
On display will be Holly Wong’s radical expression of Painting’s formal devices utilizing Line, Shape, Color and Texture in her grand “suspended painting” Guardian of the Spirits.
Other works include Peter Cromptom’s Russian Tank – a site specific sculpture, Heidi Brueckner’s texturally dazzling Monsterbet series and ancient and current visual explorations by James Vogel.
All can be seen in the main gallery at O’Hanlon Art Center
Works ranging from the topical – Peter Crompton’s installation of Russian Tank – to – Guardian of the Spirits – Holly Wong’s radically innovative suspended painting. An invitation to view a diverse selection of media employing the Formal lens in the O’Hanlon Center for the Arts at the foot of Mt. Tamalpais.
