Where the Door Opens: Writing Poetry of Place

Join Emilie Lygren in this series of three generative poetry workshops which will focus on writing about place.

To spark ideas for poems, we will explore the local environment, make use of scientific observation skills, call on our memories, and consider historical perspectives.

We’ll also discuss how writing can connect us to our communities and ourselves.

All ages and levels of experience with poetry and writing are welcome!

Participants are encouraged to attend all three sessions, if possible, but may still register and participate if they are only able to join one or two sessions.
