A Solo Exhibition by Wo Schiffman

Over 15 Oil & Wax pieces inspired by travels throughout the world. Painted during the pandemic.

Colorscapes expresses my fascination with the natural environments of our world: landscapes, forests, streams, ponds, the Aurora Borealis, Icelandic ice flows, oceans, flowers, deserts and even late harvest vegetables buried deep in the soil. Some of these paintings present a dreamlike view of the environment while some illustrate the power of real occurrences such as forest fires or late Spring snows on emerging flowers. 

I am constantly amazed by the regenerative power of our natural eco-system and used this body of work to explore the wonder and power I experience when exploring the the natural environments of Earth.
