Young Artists’ Creativity Camp

Young Artists’ Creativity Camp

8-12 year olds w/ Matt Biasotti & Jackie La Lanne

This fun and exploratory camp will introduce young artists to several media including ceramics, sculpture, drawing and painting. 

Mixed Media will be lead by Jackie La Lanne in the morning and Ceramics will fill the afternoon lead by Matt Biasotti.

5 Days:  July 16 – 20, 9:00 am – 3:30 pm

 

MORNINGS – 9:00 to Noon

An exploration in creative printmaking, painting, drawing, mixed media, crafts, and photography experiencing both studio and environmental art making.

 

Noon – 12:30:  Lunch

 

AFTERNOONS – 12:30 to 3:30

Students will learn the basics of the wheel, hand building, figurative sculpture, drawing and painting. Students will gain skills to take their ceramics and drawing to the next level in a fun and challenging way. This is a beginning class where students can take their work home.

Matt Biasotti grew up in Marin, graduated from Marin Catholic in 2016 and is currently studying ceramics at Montana State University. He has been a ceramics teacher for Summer Camp at Marin Catholic for 6 years starting in 2012. His own ceramics have been shown in group shows at 142 Throckmorton Theatre, Collage of Marin, Marin Civic Center, in the Deans Gallery at MSU and the Waller-Yoblonsky Gallery.

Jackie La Lanne is an art teacher in the Mill Valley School district and a Board member of O’Hanlon. She graduated from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Studio Art and a Masters Degree in Art Education. She loves teaching art and making photographs, which she says have a lot in common: discovering, making, envisioning, sharing, and having fun.
